Tour Itinerary of Karakoram Highway Tour Package 2023

Our trained tour guide and driver will welcome you to Pakistan at Islamabad airport. After some rest, we will take you toward Naran. This photogenic valley is one of Pakistan’s most popular summer vacation spots. It’s famous for its colorful panoramas, and it attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. We will take stopovers on different popular spots while passing Naran Valley, continue on the KKH, cross BABUSAR TOP (4175 M), and reach Chilas, a small town of Gilgit Baltistan, situated on the bank of the Indus River. The night stay will be in Chilas.

Note: Islamabad hotel stay is available on demand (starting from 60 USD per night with airport transfer)

After breakfast in the hotel, we will leave for Hunza Valley via Karakrom Highway, the highest paved international road between Pakistnan and China, take short stopovers on the way at Nanga Parbat & Rakaposhi mountain view points, and three mighty mountains ranges junction point. This beautiful excursion takes around 4 to 5 hours to take you to Hunza Vally, a fairytale land surrounded by 7000 m plus mighty peaks; overreaching the valley, check-in the hotel, and rest for one hour. In the evening, we will take a guided walking tour around Karimabad, the main town of Hunza valley, and see the major channels that divert water from melting glaciers. We go through the valley’s residents’ life in this arid landscape. There will be opportunities to capture the beautiful moment in the lap of lofty mountains. The night stay will be in Karimabad  Hunza valley.

We take a guided tour around the ancient forts of Altit and Baltit and will be given a brief presentation about its history and Royal family inside the forts. The forts are located high up in the mountains. They were first used for defensive purposes, but they also served as the seat of power before the political center moved to modern-day Karimabad. Next, we enjoy the sunset at Duikar View Point. It’s a beautiful view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. From here, we get some wonderful sunset views. Dinner and overnight will be in Karimabad, Hunza.

This day we leave further towards the Pak-China border (Khunjrab Pass) and a beautiful Passu town. Before heading toward Passu, take a brief stop at one of the majestic Attabad Lake, which came into existence in 2010 against the massive landslides. Emerald lake circled with towering mountains will catch you for being unforgettable from your life. Then, spend quality time at Passu village and hike to see the breathtaking view. After that, there is a short break at Hussaini Suspension Bridge and then some quality time at the Pak-China border. Finally, get back to Karimabad after a whole day excursion; a hearty meal will have to wait for you. Overnight stay will be in Karaimabad.

After taking breakfast, get ready to travel back to Naran Valley. Naran, Babusar road remains open from June to September. In other months of the road closure, we opt for Karakorum Highway, taking a westerly route along mighty Indus Valley and reaching Besham for a Night stay.

Note: Naran, Babusar Pass route remains close from October to May (depends upon weather conditions) due to heavy snowfall that led to its road closure. In this case, we will travel via the Besham KKH route.

This day we will move back to Islamabad, bypassing Babusar pass and Naran valley again with stopovers on the way for tea/coffee. Then, we pay to visit Taxila Museum & Buddhist sites from Gandhara Civilization (Optional). Finally, we reach the capital city of Islamabad and check in the hotel. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

This day is the last memorable day, and the time is to drop you with many memories by saying Allah Hafiz (Good Bye) End of Services.
