6 Days,
Hunza Tour Package from Islamabad 2026

Islamabad is the most convenient starting point for a Hunza tour in Pakistan. You are 560 kilometers from Karimabad via the Naran route close enough to reach Hunza in 2 days by road, or 3 hours total by air via Gilgit.

Islamabad travelers have a choice that Lahore and Karachi travelers do not: the by-air option is genuinely practical from Islamabad. PIA flies from Benazir Bhutto International Airport to Gilgit Airport in 1 hour and 15 minutes, several times per week. From Gilgit, Hunza is a 2-hour drive. This makes a 4-day Hunza trip from Islamabad completely achievable.

We offer both options. The road trip gives you the Naran valley, Lulusar Lake, and Babusar Pass as part of the journey. The by-air option gives you maximum Hunza time with minimum travel time. The right choice depends on how many days you have and whether you want the road experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Naran and Babusar Pass route is the most scenic. You stop in Naran overnight, then cross Babusar Pass the next morning before descending to the KKH. Open May to October. The alternative via Besham and Dasu along the Indus River is available year-round and has its own dramatic scenery through the Indus gorge.

By road, 6 days gives you Naran, Babusar Pass, and 3 full days in Hunza a complete first visit. By air, 4 days covers the main Hunza highlights. If you want to add Naltar Valley, add one more day to either option.

The Islamabad to Gilgit route is weather-dependent. Mountain flying requires clear visibility and flights are delayed or cancelled during heavy cloud, particularly in monsoon (July-August) and winter fog. Summer and autumn have the most reliable flight conditions. We always recommend booking flexible tickets and building a buffer day into your schedule.

Yes. We can design a one-way road trip and return by air, or fly up and drive back. This is a popular option for travelers who want the Babusar Pass experience without the full return road journey. Contact us on WhatsApp for customized pricing on this route.

Via Naran and Babusar Pass: approximately 13-14 hours driving time, split over 2 days with an overnight in Naran. Via Besham (winter route): approximately 11-12 hours, often done in one long day. We always split the drive across 2 days to avoid night driving on mountain roads.
